The annual Deloitte Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500 rankings have been released for 2017, and something in the global community are a little bit surprised to discover that there are now three Singapore grown companies that have landed on the list – representing major leaps forward as far as revenue growth is concerned and exerting a tremendous amount of influence in the local business community.
This annual ranking is published at the end of every year, and represents companies that are the rapidly growing in a specific geographical area based upon percentage fiscal year revenue growth across a 36 month block of time.
Companies that land on this list have a reputation for getting things done, building businesses that are on the fast track for success, and are responsible for a tremendous amount of growth and real potential to transform their local economy while contributing to the global economy as well.
Obviously, 500 different companies make the list every year, but Singapore has been underrepresented for quite a while now with the list primarily being dominated by Chinese, Japanese, and Korean based firms.
Singapore, however, has been experiencing exponential growth over the last few years. There startup community is one of the most exciting in the world, attracting the kind of global talent that used to flock only to Silicon Valley in the United States to get in on the startup community there.
Combine that with a very friendly government that favors businesses large and small, a financial community serious about reinvestment, and some of the most robust and forward thinking infrastructure anywhere on the planet and it’s easy to see why so many Singapore based firms are landing on this list now.
Two different software firms from Singapore have been able to position themselves pretty high on the Fast 500 list, with vKirirom and Sense InfoSys coming in at the 28th and 151st spot, respectively. These companies have enjoyed amazing growth over the last three years, with numbers coming in at 1421% and 362% growth over the last three years, respectively as well.
The third Singapore “born” company to hit the list is a wireless communication company, coming in at the 292nd spot with 174% growth over the last 36 months. This company in particular has exploded its revenue percentage in the past year, which has helped them to land a spot on this 2017 list – and it’s likely that they will have a position even higher than this next year!
Most in the business community expect Singapore to be even better represented on this list in the years to come. It has taken Singapore a little bit of time for they are startup community to establish itself, but today these companies are recognized as some of the most talented, some of the most exciting, and some of the fastest growing companies anywhere on the planet.
Expect more Singapore based companies to claim some of the top spots on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list in the years to follow!
